Dear Alfred,
Where have you disappeared to? Please write back when you can. You said you would, so you'd better do.
Cheers,
Sharon

Dear Alfred,
I was about to write to you, because I haven't heard from you in days. I understand it's possibly a busy time for you, so don't worry about not writing as often. The weather has been insane; I've been attacked by constant headaches and it is difficult to study. Don't worry about not being able to meet my expectations, understand that I do, too, feel the same way. But I'm sure we can work things out together.
Till the next letter.
Affectionately,
Sharon

Dear Sharon,
it's no excuse for shying away from you, but the days have taken my time far too unfairly. yet every moment my conscience chastises me for neglected your letters, and with a most elated heart i now write to you. much has happened in the days since you last wrote, and in all things my thoughts drift to you and the momentous task we have at hand. i do fear for us. i fear i may not be all that you require me to be, but i will try my level best to live up to your expectations, i hope your days have been well, and you're always in my fondest thoughts. perhaps in the days to come i may have more time to correspond with you, and i await our set appointments with bated breath,
yours in thought,
Alfred.
