Dear Alfred,

How are things on your end? I apologise I was unable to write earlier; I've been busy with revision classes and such. I read with a saddened heart on the news on the Mumbai terrorist attacks. I am truly disheartened by humanity, or the general lack of it at the moment. Being able to write to you, and being able to open up to you are simple things I look forward to. Please try to be safe. This world is becoming one that is increasingly getting wilder. It truly is hard trusting people these days, but knowing someone who has a good heart like you makes me feel better about life in general. Update me on what you have been up to on your end. I look forward to hearing from you.

Affectionately,
Sharon

Dear Sharon,

thank you so very much for your letter. i was fearing that you might be apprehensive towards us working together but your warm letter dispelled a lot of my unfounded fears. i must say that coming home to some form of communication from you reassures me to no end, that and the fact that it was a rather long and tiring day today, and for the most of it all i had to look forward to was the hope that you would write, and you did :) i'm sorry if my simple mind relishes such little joys but it's been far too long since i've.. met someone. like you. i really hope we can meet soon. we have much to talk about. in term's of our project. among other things...

Your's in thought

Dear Alfred,

It's very kind of you to compliment on my sweater. When I read it, I thought, "This old thing? That can't be." But I sincerely hope you liked it. I look forward to working with you too, and although there will be plenty of challenges in this endeavour, I think we would be able to work through them, with your skills and my wit. It's just too bad that we wouldn't be able to meet for sometime; I have exams in a weeks' time, so it's a stressful moment for me. I hope things are great on your end. Keep on smiling.

Sharon

Dear Sharon,

i don't quite know how to start this but let me first say that it was very nice meeting you today. i sincerely look forward to working with you in this new endeavor of ours, and hope that it will bring us, closer. in a sense. i must say that some of the... challenges we face do rather excite me, and i trust fully in your skills to make this a rather interesting journey.

and it's random but i thought your sweater looked lovely in contrast with the bag you sat on.

yours.

Alfred.
